Tavel is always one of the more meaty or full Roses and while that is still true of this vintage of Trinquevedel there is an elegance happening here that just kind of blew us away. Dark with berry like flavors and plenty of cracked pepper but with a lift from something anise like. The palate is full, close to a light red wine in texture and could hold up nicely to cured meats and heartier meaty flavors.
